Río de la Plata: The widest river in the world. The Rio de la Plata is a fishing river of numerous possibilities. In recent years, its natural habitat has been improved thanks to the care and attention received by local and national agencies.

Puerto Madero: Built as the new port allowing for the larger cargo ships that could no longer enter into the original port in La Boca, Puerto Madero was eventually transformed into an oasis for foreign realty investment. It is characterized by its imposing buildings, modern architecture and excellent police to citizen ratio.

Puerto de Buenos Aires: The main port of Argentina built from the late 19th century. Today the port sees about 8,710,000 tons of cargo per year.

La Costanera Norte: Avenida Costanera Rafael Obligado runs along the northern coast of Rio de la Plata, serving as a main artery of Buenos Aires proper. It is the only avenue that leads directly to the coast and is a necessary thoroughfare for passengers flying from the national Jorge Newbery Airport. Famous for its fine restaurants and top night clubs.

Olivos: One of Buenos Aires’ top residential areas complete with an attractive marina. It is a district located in Vicente Lopez  where, a few meters from the coast, stands the current residence of the President of the Nation (more commonly called Quinta de Olivos).

Aeroparque Jorge Newbery: Built in Costanera Norte of Buenos Aires, over 350 flights a day are made to major cities within Argentina and Uruguay. It is the busiest airport in the country and one of the largest in South America.

Club de Pescadores: A traditional fishing club on the Costanera Norte located in the neighborhood of Palermo. On June 11, 2001 it was declared a National Historic Monument.

Estadio Monumental de River Plate: Inaugurated on May 25, 1938, this stadium hosted the World Cup in 1978 where Argentina triumphed in the finals over Holand. On non-soccer days, this arena hosts concerts of world-famous bands including the Rolling Stones and U2.

Ciudad Universitaria: Located in the Belgrano neighborhood of Buenos Aires, it is one of the two campuses of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), the biggest higher education institution in Argentina. Other buildings of the UBA are distributed in different areas of the City and the Province of Buenos Aires.

San Isidro: The beginning of the delta and one of the most wealthy residential areas of Gran Buenos Aires. It is recognized for its imposing mansions and populated by the rich and famous of Buenos Aires. One of this neighbourhood’s gems is the neo-Gothic Cathedral of San Isidro completed in 1898.

clubdderemoTradicionales Clubes de Remo: The Rowing Clubs of Paraná Delta are 15 clubs with a long history of sports, especially regarding the history of rowing. 14 of these are located in Tigre town and the 15th, Club San Fernando, is located in the city of San Fernando, about 25 km from the city of Buenos Aires and 5 kilometers from Tigre. Many of these clubs were founded by European immigrants in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Delta de Tigre: Formed by innumerable streams and canals, it’s colorful islands impress with wild vegetation and a variety of birds. The Delta is known for its rugged and serene environment only 30 km from the city.

Puerto de Frutos: A picturesque place that attracts hundreds of visitors every week, who  come to buy typical crafts of the delta. Here you can find excellent wooden and wicker handy crafts and furnishings made by local artisans.

Parque de la Costa: An amusement park located in the city of Tigre, just meters from the Casino. The park is equipped with three roller coasters and a water ride, among other great attractions. It was opened in 1997 as a new tourist alternative for Tigre visitors.
